FOCUS AND SCOPE

PAIDAGOGIA: Jurnal Pengajaran dan Pendidikan is an academic journal that aims to publish research from high quality original writing in all branches of education and teaching.

This journal focuses on theoretical developments, educational methodology innovation, educational practice, educational management, curriculum evaluation and development, technology-based teaching at various levels and contexts in all branches of educational science such as Educational Science, Primary and Secondary Education, Mathematics and Science Education (Math, Biology, Physic, Chemsitry, Natural Science), Social Education (Social Sciences), Language and Literature Education, Vocational Education, Arts Education, Religious Education, Civic Education and Sports Education.

Scientific manuscripts related to the focus and scope above are welcome to be sent. PAIDAGOGIA: Jurnal Pengajaran dan Pendidikan is committed to being the leading platform for research that supports the advancement of educational science and teaching practice throughout the world.

PEER REVIEW PROCESS

All submitted manuscripts are read by the editorial staff. The review proccess uses double blind review system. Those manuscripts evaluated by editors to be inappropriate to journal criteria are rejected promptly without external review. Manuscripts evaluated to be of potential interest to our readership are sent to reviewers. The editors then make a decision based on the reviewer’s recommendation from among several possibilities: rejected, require major revision, need minor revision, or accepted.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge, and invaluable way to maximize the visibility and impact of research.

PUBLICATION ETHICS

PAIDAGOGIA: Jurnal Pengajaran dan Pendidikan is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractices. The Editorial Board is responsible for, among others, preventing publication malpractice. Unethical behavior is unacceptable, and the PAIDAGOGIA: Jurnal Pengajaran dan Pendidikan does not tolerate plagiarism in any form. Authors who submitted articles: affirm that manuscript contents are original. Furthermore, the authors’ submission also implies that the manuscript has not been published previously in any language, either wholly or partly, and is not currently submitted for publication elsewhere. Editors, authors, and reviewers, within the  PAIDAGOGIA: Jurnal Pengajaran dan Pendidikan is to be fully committed to good publication practice and accept the responsibility for fulfilling the following duties and responsibilities, as set by the COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors. As part of the Core Practices, COPE has written guidelines on the http://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines.

Chief Editor duties:

  1. Evaluate manuscripts fairly and solely on their intellectual merit.
  2. Ensure confidentiality of manuscripts and not disclose any information regarding manuscripts to anyone other than the people involved in the publishing process.
  3. Has the responsibility to decide when and which articles are to be published.
  4. Actively seek the views of board members, reviewers and authors on how to improve/ increase the image and visibility of the journal.
  5. Give clear instructions to potential contributors on the submission process and what is expected of the authors.
  6. Ensure appropriate reviewers are selected/ identified for the reviewing process.

Editorials Board Members Duties:

  1. Actively contribute to the development and greater good of the journal.
  2. Act as ambassadors for the journal.
  3. Continuously support and promote the journal.
  4. Review any work assigned to them.

Author Duties:

  1. Have the responsibility of ensuring only new and original work is submitted.
  2. Must not reproduce work that has been previously published in other journals.
  3. Must not submit any articles that are being reviewed or considered by the journal to other journals simultaneously.
  4. Only allowed to publish their work elsewhere after receiving a formal rejection from the journal or if their request to withdraw their work is officially accepted by the journal.
  5. Must inform the Chief Editor or the publisher of any inaccuracy of data in their published work so that correction or retraction of article can be done.
  6. Should make significant contributions and be held accountable for any shortcoming in their work.

Reviewers Duties:

  1. Must disclose any competing interest before agreeing to review a submission.
  2. Can refuse to review any submission due to a conflict of interest or inadequate knowledge.
  3. Review all submissions objectively, fairly and professionally.
  4. Reveal any ethical misconduct encountered while reviewing to the Chief Editor for further action.
  5. Should ensure the originality of a submission and be alert to any plagiarism and redundant publication.
  6. Must not discuss the content of the submission without permission.
  7. Obey to the time allocated for the review process. Requests for extension to review the submission is at the discretion of the Chief Editor.

PLAGIARISM POLICY

PAIDAGOGIA: Jurnal Pengajaran dan Pendidikan has a policy of screening for plagiarism. We use Anti-Plagiarism Software "Turnitin" to check the authenticity article.
